Test Applications | Testing axial flow compressor and turbine stages. The Large Scale Rotating Rig is a low speed suck down type of a rig capable of testing both axial flow compressor and turbine stages. It is equipped with instrumentation to make steady state and transient measurements in the stationary and rotating frames. Research work on unsteady rotor-stator interaction, hot streak migration, casing treatment, tip leakage flow characterization, cavity gas path ingestion, end wall leakage flows etc. can be carried out in this rig. |
